Tallahassee Celebrates America! 4th of July at Tom Brown Park

About Celebrate America 2010


 



Celebrate America activities and entertainment will kick off at 3:50 p.m. at Tom Brown Park.  This year’s entertainment will feature a music festival, presented by Miller Lite and Coors Light, showcasing some of Tallahassee’s finest talent.
 
The Naturalization Ceremony will begin at 5:50 p.m., with U.S. Magistrate, the Honorable Judge William Sherrill administering the oath of citizenship.  This ceremony is a very moving and heart-warming experience that you won’t want to miss.
 
The grand finale is, of course, the fireworks show, powered by the City of Tallahassee Your Own Utilities and will feature some of the industry’s newest, hi-tech pyrotechnics.
 
StarMetro will run shuttle buses approximately every 15 minutes from the Koger Center for Tom Brown Park beginning at approximately 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 4.  Limited parking will be available inside Tom Brown Park.  Early arrival is suggested.
 
Join in on all the festivities on Sunday, July 4, 2010, as we celebrate America with a fun-filled afternoon and evening of activities that will offer something for everyone!

Final StarMetro bus leaves Tom Brown Park. 
The Tallahassee Police Department will close all vehicular access to Tom Brown Park, except for the Star Metro Shuttles, at 8:30PM or earlier according to parking availability.

Note: If a person with a disability requires an accommodation to participate or if special seating arrangements are needed, requests should be made to the event coordinator seventy-two (72 hours) prior to the event.
